The most profitable investments for Russians during the pandemic are named

According to a study by experts of the analytical service FinExpertiza, the most profitable investments in 2020, which faced the coronavirus pandemic, were bitcoin, gold and shares of foreign companies, Vedomosti writes.

It is noted that the biggest profit was received by risky investors who invested in bitcoin. The study also says that by purchasing a cryptocurrency for 100 thousand rubles in the first days of January, by the end of December it was possible to get 354 thousand rubles of profit.

According to the Coinmarketcap portal, on January 1, 2020, bitcoin was worth $ 7.2 thousand, and by December 31, it increased in price by about four times, reaching $ 29 thousand.

Conservative investors who invested in gold made a profit of 43.3 thousand rubles per 100 thousand rubles, or 38.4% after deducting inflation. People who invested in American stocks were able to make a profit of 40.7 thousand rubles per 100 thousand rubles.

According to analysts’ calculations, income from the Russian stock market, which gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, was less. So, citizens who invested in Russian stocks at the beginning of the year and did not start selling securities that fell in price during the coronavirus were able to earn 12.8 thousand rubles from 100 thousand rubles.

It is noted that those Russians who bought dollars and euros in January also managed to make money. Due to the fact that in 2020 the dollar rose in price by 20%, and the euro – by 32%, from an investment of 100 thousand rubles it was possible to gain 19.9 thousand rubles and 32 thousand rubles, respectively, that is, the yield was 15% and 27.1%.

As it turned out by analysts, the ruble deposit became the least profitable investment.

Earlier Rambler reported that asset manager of BCS World of Investments Andrey Rusetskiy recalled the golden rule of investment: the higher the profitability, the stronger the risks. As the best option, he singles out short or medium-term federal loan bonds.
